This print, titled The Great Wave off Kanagawa, is the most famous work by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai and is arguably one of the most recognizable pieces of Japanese art in the world. It is part of his celebrated series, Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.

The composition is a masterful display of drama and tension. A massive, claw-like wave dominates the foreground, threatening to engulf three fishing boats (oshiokuri-bune) carrying terrified fishermen. The wave's powerful, dynamic form is frozen at the peak of its curl, creating a sense of imminent motion and danger.

In the background, dwarfed by the towering wave, sits the serene and perfectly symmetrical form of Mount Fuji. The small, stable mountain provides a stark contrast to the chaotic, powerful force of the ocean. How to clean 如何清洗
